I am Mikhael, a storyteller at heart. With a master's in environmental and sustainable development law and policy, I have spent the past decade as a researcher and policy advisor in multi-level climate governance, climate finance, carbon markets, and gender equality & social inclusion. Over the years, one thing has become clear to me: the mindsets and approaches that created the polycrisis we face today are not the ones that will solve it. We need an entirely new set of tools—ones that tap into collective wisdom and creativity to imagine a future of abundance and harmony. And if that sounds optimistic, then you're reading it right. Transformative outcomes require collective leadership and inspired action. But we don’t get there by focusing solely on the end goal—we get there by reshaping the stories that guide our choices. All action is informed by the stories we tell about what is possible. When we co-create new narratives—ones that embrace complexity, possibility, and inclusion—we unlock new pathways for strategy and action. Through participatory storytelling and co-creation, I help teams, organisations, and communities weave bold new narratives to help animate our more beautiful world.
I am Makeeda, a creative facilitator with a passion for storytelling, movement, and immersive experiences. At Ikoko, I design and lead participatory workshops that bring people into deeper connection—with themselves, each other, and the stories they carry. Drawing on my experience as a multidisciplinary artist, educator, and performer, I blend embodiment, mindfulness, and expressive practices to guide groups through meaningful, transformative processes. My approach invites presence, play, and shared insight—supporting people to show up fully and contribute to the unfolding story of collective change.
